What we did
In collaboration with top athlete Femke Bol, Free a Girl launches the 5K to Free a Girl campaign — a powerful initiative that literally gets us moving to help free girls from sexual exploitation.
Across the world, hundreds of thousands of young girls are being held captive and abused. They have no voice, no freedom, and no future. With this campaign, we aim to change that.
The concept is simple:
Walk, jog, or run 5 kilometers and get sponsored. The proceeds go directly to rescue operations and the legal prosecution of offenders, giving girls the chance to start a new life.
As ambassador, Femke Bol is passionately committed to the cause. With her strength, visibility, and inspiring athletic presence, she motivates people across the Netherlands to take action.
Why 5 kilometers?
Five kilometers symbolizes the distance between powerlessness and freedom. Every step you take brings a girl closer to a future in freedom.
